Getting started with writing addons - WoWWiki - Your guide to the World of Warcraft

I have yet again sparked the idea of dabbling with add-on creation. As with other home programming ideas, it is likely not to last, but in the event that it does, I thought I'd link the WoWWiki page that has given me the best starting information after a couple of hours of trawling. I did in the past install and use the Visual Studio editor for WoW, but that now seems to have stopped development and appears to not work with the latest patch (3.3.5).
